SECURITY INFORMATION

Providing a secure Internet environment where you can safely access personal account information is our highest priority.

Database Security

We have protected our database through the use of a security architecture represented by a specialized configuration of hardware and software. Accessing information from this environment requires passing through a highly secured "firewall" and a series of filtering mechanisms. This environment protects our database from Internet security risks.

Data Transmissions

Personal and plan information that is sent from our site over the Internet is encrypted by using a security technology called Secured Socket Layers (SSL). This technology encrypts the information before transmission, so that only the person requesting it is able to view it.

How do I know it is secure? If your browser is not able to support SSL, or if you have disabled that feature on your browser, you will not be able to view any information from our site. Microsoft® Internet Explorer and Netscape® Navigator are two browsers that support SSL.

(Note: Your browser's security icon, usually located in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser window, reflects the security condition of the outermost frame displayed in your browser window. If that frame was generated by a non-SSL site, the browser security icon will indicate nonsecured data transmission, even though the inner frame where your personal information is being displayed is communicating over a secured link.)

Access

Our site uses nonpersistent Internet cookies, which are not written to disk. They are used to store session information that allows you to perform multiple operations without having to enter your SSN and PIN each time you select a different function. Before viewing plan-specific information you will be prompted for your Social Security number (SSN) only. Access to personal information requires that you enter your personal identification number (PIN) also. If your browser is configured to warn you when a cookie is being set, you do not need to accept any cookies; however, you may be prompted for your SSN and PIN each time you select another option.

For your protection, please do not leave your computer unattended before exiting the session. You may exit the session and clear your cookies by clicking on the Log Out button at any time.

Entering a Wrong PIN

You get three chances to enter your PIN correctly, after which you will be denied access to personal account information for 24 hours. If you do not know or do not have a PIN, please contact your Client Service Representative.

We will continue to update and improve the security of our website as new technologies become available.

Informed Consent

While these measures may represent the leading edge in website security, there is always a risk, however small, that data may be compromised. Proceeding by entering your SSN implies acceptance of this risk.
